It has been a great summer for our Touch Rugby section with eight junior players chosen to represent England at the Junior Touch Championships in Dublin. We also have the youngest ever referee in Europe in Iris Nasir who is just eleven years old. One of the mUst encouraging pieces of news is the spread of the game locally thanks to Touch co-ordinator Tom Humphreys’ initiatives. Over 1000 new school pupils in the city are now playing the game.
The players who represented the club in Dublin were Elliot Nye, Dan Eaglestone, Megan Fox, Emily Brightling, Ayla Payten, Erin Payten, Lydia Ticehurst and Flori Nasir.
