Important Message – Covid Update

Hopefully, many of you are beginning to get some stability back into your lives and a ‘new norm’ is emerging?

At CRFC we are working hard to develop a ‘rugby new norm’
that will allow us to safely re-open the Club.

The 1st Team Squad will resume training on Tuesday 7th July
under the guidelines of the RFU Return to Play Pathway, and we are hoping training facilities will be open for use to other sections of the Club week commencing 20th July. As per the use of pubs and restaurants all attendees’ names will be logged and kept for 21 days to ensure track and trace needs, though anyone who is feeling unwell should not travel to the Club.

Under the guidance of external health and safety experts, we have completed a full risk assessment to ensure we are Covid-19 secure across the site.

We are currently in discussion with Canterbury City Council to ascertain whether all the Club’s facilities can be re-opened, and we will be able to let you know of the outcome of that conversation soon.

Creating a Covid secure environment for you, our members, players, staff, and guests is one of our top priorities, and to that end we have

purchased a large amount of hand sanitiser and also have wall-mounted dispensers on order;
ordered screens to be fitted in the bar, kitchen, BBQ and the shop;
considered the people flow around the site to ensure safe access to facilities. Initially only the outside toilets will be open;
put together a cleaning schedule to ensure the highest standards are met.

A site usage document is currently being put together, and upon completion, the Executive Committee will publish it. All the steps we are taking is to ensure on-site safety and we hope you will bear with us while we complete this process to make the ClubCovid secure and ready to go!

Thank you
Giles
