Following a Club coaches meeting on Tuesday 29th December 2020 it was unanimously decided that the Club would not return to any form of organised training until the RFU issues further guidance.
As it currently stands, training for all ages under 18 in Tier 4 can take place but at ‘Stage A’ of the RFU’s Return to Rugby Pathway – you can find their full announcement here. However, the Club coaches felt that, with Covid cases still so high in the area, we have a duty of care to everyone involved to postpone all training across the Club. Age group team managers will be contacting their respective teams in due course, so please look out for these.
This decision will be reviewed during the week commencing Monday 18th January 2021 and further guidance issued at that time.
I know for sure that this is not the start to the New Year that we had wanted or were indeed hoping for but I sincerely hope that everyone will understand the decision that has been made.
The Club remains very very grateful for your continuing support during this time, and we would like to wish you all the very best in 2021. It is our Club’s family has got us through a difficult year, and we need to come together again when we get the go-ahead to do so. We would to remind all of our members of the dos and don’ts of the current climate, which you can find here.
For now, please feel free to stay in touch with us via our Facebook page here. There have been whispers of Zoom Quiz Nights returning, so if you would like to get involved with those, that’s where you will find out more details.
Best regards, and a happy new year,
