Canterbury finally clocked up their first away league win against a much-improved Folkestone side with a dangerous back line. Canterbury scored firs, attacking both flanks before, touching down in the right-hand corner. The conversion was missed.
Minutes later a crash ball down the inside centre channel, saw Jonathan Parker score and leave a simple conversion for Gareth Phillips.
Those lively Folkestone backs then hit back with two tries, one converted to bring the sides level at half time
A Chris Elworthy’s try took the city side ahead again but they surrendered that advantage to a converted touch down by the home forwards.
On the hour mark Canterbury won a penalty and Phillips successful kick proved to be the winner.
