Pilgrims domination of the second half earned them a clear cut Zoo League victory with Guy Hilton stealing the individual honours with a hat trick of tries. They edged the first half by just five points after the lead had changed hands three times but made up for earlier errors after the break. After going behind to a converted try early in the game scores from Elliot Deacon, two by Hilton and a fourth from Hamish Veitch countered three tries by the home side. At that stage it left the result very much in the melting pot.
After the break there were still errors on both sides but Pilgrims produced the superior rugby and cruised into a twenty point lead with tries from Will Hilton and Stuart Meredith.. Wimbledon punished a yellow card for Veitch with an unconverted try, before Guy Hilton raced in for his third and brother Will added his fifth conversion to an earlier penalty goal. A well beaten Wimbledon had the last word with a late consolation try.
