The first team kick start their pre-season programme at the Marine Travel Ground on Saturday with a visit from Kent rivals Tonbridge Juddians,
Head of Rugby Andy Pratt will be monitoring the contribution of two new second row players, Matas Jurevicius and Rob Meeson, as well as summer signings Max Craven, Dwayne Corcoran and Will Scholes.
Jurevicius is set to join the squad as a loan player from London Scottish while Irishman Meeson is a trialist who has been playing professional rugby in the USA.
The game is the first of three pre-season outings before the team makes its debut in National Division One on September 7th. Canterbury are at home to Esher on August 24th then travel to Wales the following week to meet Pontypool. Saturday’s kick-off is 3pm.
