Graham is a Mini’s coach and player for Canterbury RFC. Graham stays active, playing for the social rugby teams at Canterbury. Prior to joining Canterbury RFC in 2012, Graham was a player and Mini’s coach at Ashford RFC where he honed his coaching skills, whilst his stepson played for a Mini’s team. When Graham’s eldest son chose to play for Canterbury, Graham moved clubs and managed our current U12’s until 2016. In 2016 he took the lead for the current Canterbury U8’s.

Graham volunteers for Kent Rugby and England Rugby to help develop grass root rugby. Graham currently volunteers for the High Level coaching and mentoring team. In June 2018, Graham was recognised for his contribution to rugby, by winning Kent Rugby Mini’s Volunteer of the Year.

Simon Jones

Simon Jones

Team Coach

Simon took up Rugby at the age of 9 playing through school age groups up to U18. There was a ‘brief hiatus’ during his university days, with only the occasional invitational appearance, then a re-emergence in his mid-late 20s playing for Chew Valley 2’s in the North Somerset league. After hanging up his boots over a decade ago coaching has given him the opportunity to get back into the game he enjoyed so much. This is his second year of coaching the Canterbury Mini’s and he is looking forward to supporting the U8s this season.

Qualifications: England Rugby Coaching Award (Level 2); Rugby Ready; St John’s Ambulance First Aid at Work

By train

Canterbury is served by two railway stations, Canterbury East and Canterbury West. A taxi is probably the best option from either as both stations are some distance from Merton Lane and buses are infrequent.
