All rugby on Sunday Cancelled

A message from Andy Pratt, head of rugby;

With the weather warning for Storm Ciara being upgraded to Amber for our region and gusts of over 70mph forecast we’ve made the decision to cancel all rugby at the club including at the Langton STP on Sunday.

This is never a decision we take lightly and was made purely with the safety of everyone in mind.

Please inform all players / parents / coaches etc and any opposition that we were due to host.

  • From the A2 (Dover-bound), take the exit sign for Canterbury.
  • Coming into the city, take the second exit on the first three roundabouts you encounter (following the signs for Dover).
  • At the fourth roundabout (by the police station) take the third exit which is the Old Dover Road.
  • Proceed straight over the first set of traffic lights (by the Cross Keys pub)
  • Carry straight on over the second set of lights (by the Kent Cricket Ground).
  • At the third set of traffic lights turn right into Nackington Road. The turn is signed the B2068.
  • After about a mile down Nackington Road, turn right into Merton Lane (North), there is a sign for the club. DON'T cross over the by-pass.

By car From Dover

  • From the A2 (London-bound), take the exit sign for Canterbury.
  • At the first roundabout you encounter, take the second exit (bearing slightly left) down the Old Dover Road.
  • At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Nackington Road (if you go past Kent Cricket Ground you've gone too far). The turn is signed the B2068.
  • After about a mile down Nackington Road, turn right into Merton Lane (North), there is a sign for the club. DON'T cross over the by-pass.

By train

Canterbury is served by two railway stations, Canterbury East and Canterbury West. A taxi is probably the best option from either as both stations are some distance from Merton Lane and buses are infrequent.
