I remember turning up to pre-season, didn’t know a soul, but was made to feel incredibly welcome straight away. It’s proper rugby club with a group of talented players, guys who wanted to win and perform to the highest standard on the field but get it absolutely right off the field as well. It was a great springboard for me into playing rugby for the Army and Combined services, I never would have had that opportunity without the Club.

Rob joined the club following being stationed in Canterbury with the 5 Scots Army regiment. He went on to Captain the Army and Combined services and then went onto play in Hong Kong.

Rob is currently living, working and playing in Hong Kong and next year is undertaking the incredible challenge of rowing across the Atlantic, for further details- www.eastrowswest.com
