Canterbury Trio Represent Kent in Historic Super Vets Victory
Three Canterbury RFC stalwarts proudly represented the Black & Amber colours on Sunday as they took part in the first-ever Kent Super Vets fixture, hosted at Blackheath RFC.
Selected in the inaugural Kent squad were Miles MacKinnon, Justin Lello, and Stephen Rutt, with MacKinnon receiving the additional honour of captaining the county side on a memorable occasion.
The match proved to be a hugely successful day for Kent Rugby, who delivered an outstanding all-round performance to record an emphatic 92-0 victory over Hertfordshire.
For MacKinnon, Lello and Rutt, the opportunity to represent their county in such a historic fixture is a testament to their continued commitment to the game and the values of rugby. Having Canterbury RFC represented by three players, including the team captain, is a source of great pride for everyone connected with the club.
The Kent Super Vets programme celebrates the longevity, passion and camaraderie that make rugby special, and Sunday’s inaugural fixture was a fantastic showcase of those qualities.
Everyone at Canterbury Rugby Club congratulates Miles, Justin and Stephen on their selection and contribution to a memorable day for Kent Rugby. We are incredibly proud to see our Black & Amber representatives helping to make history and flying the flag for the club with distinction.
Congratulations, gentlemen. 🖤💛
