We are recruiting – Club Safeguarding Officer

Canterbury Rugby Football Club is looking for a caring, calm and approachable individual to become its Club Safeguarding Officer.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. The Club Safeguarding Officer plays a central role in championing the safety and welfare of children and adults at risk throughout the club.
The successful applicant will act as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensure that matters are reported through the appropriate channels and help everyone at the club understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

The role also includes supporting safer recruitment, helping to coordinate safeguarding training, leading the annual safeguarding audit and ensuring that club policies, procedures and contact information remain current and accessible.

Applicants should be able to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially, communicate with children and adults at risk in a caring and meaningful way and remain calm when responding to difficult or upsetting situations.

The successful applicant will be required to become a member of Canterbury RFC, attend relevant committee meetings, undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and complete the RFU In Touch course within three months of taking up the role.

Marketing Coordinator

We are recruiting – Marketing Coordinator

Canterbury Rugby Football Club is looking for an organised, proactive and commercially minded Marketing Coordinator to join its growing Marketing Communications structure.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Commercial team, the successful candidate will help turn the club’s marketing strategy and emerging opportunities into coordinated campaigns that deliver measurable results.

The role will support activity across matchdays, hospitality, events, SCRUM Kitchen, Soak House, sponsorship, community rugby, membership and the club’s wider commercial offer. It will also provide an important link between those identifying opportunities and the Marketing Communications Team responsible for developing and publishing content.
